KATHUA, Mar 29: A team of district administration led by Deputy Commissioner, Kathua, Rohit Khajuria and ACR Jatinder Misra tehsildar Avtar Singh , CEO Municipal Council assisted by Kathua police led by SSP Kathua, Sulemen Choudhary , DySP SS Sambyal continued the anti encroachment drive for second consecutive day today in various areas of Kathua town.
The number of illegal structures raised in front of various establishments and shops were demolished during the drive. The Anti encroachment drive was started from Barnoti to make the Barnoti Chowk encroachment free and team also removed encroachment from Kalibari and army area Chowk,. The team also rushed to various locations of Kathua town at Parliwand, W No. 10, Rajbagh, Mukhreeje Chowk, Shaheedi Chowk and College road .
A JCB was put on job and it demolished number of illegal structures, encroachments in front of the shops, illegal ladders and other construction made on both sides of the road.
The team also removed illegal structure raised on State land near Main Khud area. Huge crowd gathered to watch the drive and people showed satisfaction after clearance of road encroached by land grabbers. Some people however alleged that a big piece of State land on local Khud was also encroached by influential people and it has not comes under the radar of administration. They demanded action against these land encroachers who had covered the Khud area and raised structure on it.
The Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rohit Khajuria said that no one will be spared in this drive and action will taken on every such person involved in illegal encroachment.
