JAMMU, Jan 19: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta convened a meeting with representatives of political parties and apprised them about the elaborate arrangements being made for the Republic Day celebrations.
District Development Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma was also present in the meeting.
Divisional Commissioner said that thousands of students from various schools and colleges would participate in the cultural programmes and physical display. He informed that proper transport facilities for the students and other participants would be provided for ferrying them to and fro the venue.
The meeting was informed that various arrangements related to the smooth conduct of the function like proper face lifting and illumination of prominent chowks, fool-proof traffic and security arrangements, seating, barricading, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, health, etc have been made by the concerned departments.
Among others State Secretary BJP Munish Sharma, Sr. Vice President Janta Dal (S) Ram Rath, State Working President Janta Dal (S), J&K National Conference Pardeep Bali, Vice President JKNPP Daljit Singh, State Youth Panther Manoj Gupta besides representatives of various political parties were present in the meeting.
