JAMMU, Oct 1: The Directorate of Rural Sanitation, Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Jammu, in collaboration with 91.9 RED FM, organised a cleanliness drive in Jhajjar Kotli as part of the Swachhata Parv- Swachhata Hi Seva campaign.
The event was attended by Divisional Commissioner , Ramesh Kumar; Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya; ADC Harvinder Singh; ACD, Preeti Sharma; RJ Anchita, RJ Sarang, and the 91.9 RED FM Jammu team led by Sidarath Arora Cluster Head RED FM-J&K, Leh & Uttrakhand.
Local students, C-DYTE cadets, and volunteers actively participated in the drive, working tirelessly to clean the park and water bodies of Jhajjar Kotli.
Divisional Commissioner emphasised the need for regular sanitation efforts and suggested conducting monthly cleanliness drives. He also instructed that littering and spoiling the beautiful tourist spot would be penalised.
Sarpanch Panchayat Dhok Wazira, Raman Wazir was honoured for his contributions, and three other volunteers were recognised for their outstanding work.
