JAMMU, Mar 22: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, today flagged off the 26th Charri Mubarak Yatra of Shri Mata Sukrala Devi from Mahant Shri Lucky Bawa Temple here.
DIG JSK Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma, along with several other devotees also joined the auspicious occasion.
The yatri commenced at 8:30 am on Saturday, beginning from Lucky Bawa Temple and heading towards the Shri Sukrala Mata Temple in Kathua District.
The procession, filled with religious fervor, saw hundreds of devotees chanting Bhajans and participating in religious sermons.
It reached Bhagwati Nagar Tawi Bridge, marking the first milestone of its journey, where large number of devotees had gathered to offer prayers.
Addressing the event, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu expressed hope that the pilgrimage would concluded successfully and peacefully.
He appealed to the public to utilize such religious events to promote peace, communal harmony, and brotherhood within the society.
Mahant Lucky Baba, the organizer of the yatri, offered prayers for the safety and well-being of all participants.
He also expressed gratitude to the Jammu and Kashmir UT Administration and the police for their assistance in ensuring the smooth conduct of the yatri.
