JAMMU, Dec 2: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar today held a meeting with Jammu Chamber of Commerce & Industries and concerned officers and discussed developmental issues and other issues concerning to the business community.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa; Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav; SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli; Additional Commissioner State Taxes, Ankita Kar; Transport Commissioner, Rahul Sharma; MD SIDCO, Raman Kesar; Deputy Director Planning, Munish Dutta; Joint Director Industries, Meenakshi Vaid; Officers of Banks, besides Secretary General CCI, Gourav Gupta; Vice President, Rajeev Gupta; Secretary, Rajesh Gupta and other members of Jammu Chamber of Commerce.
Threadbare discussions were held on the issues projected by the representatives of the Chamber related to overall development of Jammu city and welfare of the business community.
The representatives put forth the issues being faced by the business community. The major demands discussed in the meeting included unsafe buildings in the warehouse area, early renewal of lease deeds by JDA, requirement of toilet complex in Hari Market, issues related to GST and other important matters.
Regarding renewal of lease deeds, the Div Com instructed JDA officers to streamline the renewal mechanism to renew the leases so that business community/ public do not face any inconvenience.
The CCI representatives also demanded that the ongoing work of pathways be avoided on the narrow roads, market areas. The Div Com asked CCI to make a list of such roads and share with JSCL for any amendments.
The Div Com gave a patient hearing to all issues highlighted by the CCI representatives and issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments for resolving the same. He assured the Jammu Chamber that all the genuine issues would be looked into for their timely redressal.
The Div Com asked the officers of JDA, State Taxes and Industries to hold a meeting with the Chamber of Commerce and resolve issues pertaining to their departments.
Responding to the demand of the Toilet Complex in Hari Market, the Div Com asked Commissioner JMC to look into the matter and meet the demand.
