RAMBAN, Oct 31: Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kotwal today visited Baglihar in Ramban district to take stock of arrangements being made for Prime Minister’s visit.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Baglihar Hydro Electric Power Project Phase-II and four laning project of Udhampur- Banihal on Jammu-Srinagar National highway on November 7.
Deputy Commissioner Ramban Bashir Ahmed Dar, DIG Nissar Ahmed, Chief Engineer PDC Abdul Wahid , ADDC Ramban, SSP Ramban, SSP Traffic, ADC, CPO and sectoral and district officers of various department attended the meeting.
Earlier, Divisional Commissioner visited the venue where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the prestigious projects besides addressing a public rally.
He passed on-spot-directions to organising authorities for ensuring timely completion of adequate arrangements of the PM’s visit.
He also discussed the traffic arrangements at the venue of the visit and also on national highway for facilitating the general public to reach the venue easily. He, further, reviewed the media related arrangements and directed the Chief Engineer PDC to establish a media galley at appropriate place for smooth press coverage.
He directed the authorities of PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted power supply and drinking water supply besides arranging the barricading at the venue of the function. He also directed to maintain cleanliness and sanitation at the venue.
