JAMMU, Sept 22: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Pardeep Gupta, who is also the chairman of the Shiv Khori Shrine Board, convened a meeting of the members of the board and officers here today to take stock of services being extended to the pilgrims.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Reasi Nirmal Sharma, Director Tourism Robin Singh Mehta, members of the board, Seema Khajuria Shekhar, S. M. Sahni, B. S. Slathia, M. L. Sharma and other senior officers.
Deputy Commissioner Reasi, who is Vice Chairman of Shiv Khori Shrine Board, had a detailed review of various development activities for improving the amenities and logistic facilities for the pilgrims.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed on better coordination among the various line departments to ensure better facilities to the pilgrims. He directed the concerned to ensure timely completion of the projects to develop the infrastructure enroute the shrine and at the Shiv Khori Shrine to cater to the needs of the tourists and pilgrims.
Deliberating upon various issues regarding convenience of the pilgrims, the Div Com took stock of the status of sheds, eating points and bathing ghats enroute and at the shrine.
The members of the board also stressed the need for close monitoring of the projects by the district administration for upgradation of available facilities.
