SRINAGAR, Aug 4: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr. Asgar Samoon convened a meeting of officers of Srinagar Development Authority here today and reviewed its functioning.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone, Vice Chairperson SDA, Chief Town Planner and other senior officers of SDA and other line departments.
The Divisional Commissioner reviewed the preparation of Srinagar Master Plan and the pace of work of proposed Shehjar Apartments under which 540 flats would be constructed. He directed authorities to take immediate steps for this purpose so that affordable housing is provided to the people.
He also directed the SDA and line departments to convene a meeting regarding shifting of Batmaloo Bus Terminal and asked them to take immediate steps for this purpose.
