JAMMU, May 16: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Pardeep Gupta, convened a joint meeting of concerned officers and members of Raghunath Bazar Businessmen Association to review the Raghunath Bazar beautification project.
The Divisional Commissioner had a detailed review of the status of work on the project taken up to beautify and develop the heritage market around the historical Raghunath Temple.
Threadbare discussion was held on various issues including ornamental molding of poles to give them designer look with fancy lights and PVC Cable, renovation, modernization and up-gradation of overhead power distribution network at Raghunath Bazar under Heritage Development Scheme, shifting of underground BSNL cable for the development of Raghunath Bazar area.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the departments of BSNL, PHE and PDD to undertake their parts of the work on war footing to complete the same at the earliest. He stressed that the concerned departments should work in coordination to ensure time bound completion of the ongoing works.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Director Tourism, Soujanya Sharma, Assistant Commissioner, Robin Singh Mehta, Additional DDC, Rehana Bataul, senior officers of concerned departments, President Raghunath Bazar Association, Baldev Kumar and members of the association Ajesh Rohmetra, Bhuvneshwar Gandotra, Om Parkash and Ashwin Arora attended the meeting.
