JAMMU, Dec 22: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Ramesh Kumar today reviewed various revenue related issues including land acquisition for Border fencing, status of Online Revenue Services, implementation of SVAMITVA, Delineation of Khads and other related issues here at a meeting.
The meeting was attended by Custodian General J&K, Rajesh Sharma; Chief Engineer I&FC, Jammu, Manoj Gupta; Assistant Commissioner Central, Pritam Lal Thappa; besides engineers of CPWD, PWD(R&B) Department and other concerned officers while Deputy Commissioners of Jammu, Samba, Kathua along with ACRs participated in the meeting through Video Conferencing.
Threadbare discussions were held on the land acquisition cases pending in the districts which include land for 135 feet border fencing and border out posts. The Div Com directed the concerned DCs to expedite the process for each case and resolve the same on priority. He also asked them to complete the process of the disbursement of compensation for acquired land.
The Div Com also reviewed Survey of Villages Abadi & Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas (SVAMITVA) Scheme and directed the DCs to expedite the process of Survey, verifications and distribution of property cards among the public.
Meanwhile, the Div Com reviewed the online revenue services and took stock of district wise disposal percentage.
The Div Com exhorted the revenue officers to work with zeal and dedication to provide the best services to the public and lessen the hardships of the common masses. He asked the DCs to ensure prompt disposal of online applications seeking services in consonance with the provisions of PSGA. He also stressed the importance of conducting regular monthly meetings with Tehsildars to discuss the issues and progress made in the implementation of online services. He also directed the revenue officers to educate the public about the online services of their department and motivate them to avail the benefits of the same.
The Div Com directed DCs to dispose of all the pending applications for change in land use (CLU) and ensure disposal of pending applications within PSGA days.
While reviewing the progress of delineation of land recorded as Gair Mumkin Khad, Nullah, Dariya etc, the Divisional Commissioner asked the concerned Deputy Commissioners to expedite the process and send weekly segregation reports to the Divisional Level Committee for further action in this regard.
