JAMMU, Jan 12: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today chaired a meeting of Deputy Commissioners and concerned officers to review the progress achieved in BIS registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana – SEHAT Schemes (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT) and generation of Golden Cards in the division.
Managing Director, NHM, CEO PMJAY SEHAT, Yasin Choudhary gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on the coverage made so far.
He apprised that against total 1030604 families in Jammu Division, families verified with atleast 1 member stands at 830136 which accounts for 80 percent of the targeted households, while out of total 5187847 individual beneficiaries 2854840 have been registered so far.
The Div Com strongly directed all the Deputy Commissioners and Chief Medical Officers to identify the reasons for low registration.
He asked the DCs to expedite the process and achieve 100 percent coverage before the March 31, 2022 deadline set by the office of the Lieutenant Governor.
The Divisional Commissioner stressed upon the officers for prompt issuance of SEHAT cards under the scheme to all registered beneficiaries and registration of all left outs on the Beneficiary Identification System Portal.
He also directed the concerned authorities to start Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities on mission mode by roping in public representatives for creating mass awareness for speeding up the registration process. He also instructed the DCs and concerned officers for roping in Asha Workers, Anganwari workers for achieving targets at village level. He directed the DCs to identify low performing blocks and make better micromanagement.
Dr Langer also directed the State Managers of Community Service Centres to activate Village Level Entrepreneurs so as to improve the registration process in rural areas especially in low performing medical blocks.
During the meeting, the DCs demanded issuance of more member Addition IDs for expediting the process and the Div Com asked the CEO for issuing the same.
Meanwhile, the Div Com reviewed the present covid situation in the districts of the division and directed the Deputy Commissioners to ramp up RAT testing and take measures for optimum utilization of RTPCR testing capacity.
