Divided opposition in J&K can’t regain its lost ground: Jasrotia

JAMMU, Mar 23: With agendas that are poles apart, the divided opposition in Jammu and Kashmir cannot regain its lost ground as tie-ups between small groups will boomerang rather than giving any political edge to parties like NC, PDP and Congress.
This was said by J&K BJP spokesperson Abhijeet Jasrotia in a statement issued today. He said with a new political contour emerging in J&K since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019 and the Delimitation Commission starting its work in recent weeks, both the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have lost almost all their key faces in J&K.
“PDP as party and Mehbooba Mufti are hit hard, the discourse from Mehbooba Mufti has to be oriented towards peace and progress if she wants to achieve way ahead,” Jasrotia said. He stated that the PDP president seems to be suffering from personality disorders as on one day she behaves a complete secular human and next day a communal bigot.
The BJP spokesperson said Mehbooba seems to have lost the plot of politics and her statements as well as vision too seems to have lost the track. “PDP as party and Mehbooba Mufti as leader are struggling hard for their political survival as they have confined themselves to few small pockets of Kashmir only, which proved beyond doubt that they have now turned out to be now steadily non relevant,” he added.
“Mehbooba Mufti should understand that hypocrisy in politics leads one nowhere and do reform to stay relevant. Voters on ground want to listen talk of progress not destruction and Mehbooba Mufti can’t take them to further ride. One day visiting temple and other day criticizing majority community of this country type politics won’t take Mehbooba Mufti much long,” Jasrotia asserted.
