DLSA holds awareness program on PoSH Act

SAMBA, Oct 25: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Samba today organized an awareness programme on “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 also known as PoSH Act” at Government Degree College (GDC), Samba.
The programme was organized by Secretary DLSA Samba Sandeep Singh Sen, under the overall supervision of Ravinder Nath Wattal, Chairman DLSA Samba (also Principal District and Sessions Judge Samba), in collaboration with Cash (College internal complaint committee) headed by Prof Seema Sharma GDC Samba.
Neemisha Rajput (Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, Samba), Panel Advocate Hitesh Sharma and Nisha Rani (Deputy Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Samba) were the resource persons in the programme. They deliberated upon different schemes of their respective departments with special emphasis on “PoSH Act”.
The proceedings of the program were conducted by Nisha Rani. The objective of organizing this program was to aware the participants about the PoSH Act, 2013. The program was attended by Principal GDC Samba, faculty members and students of the College and Para Legal Volunteers of DLSA Samba.
