DLSA hosts program on Int’l Day of Charity, Teacher’s Day

JAMMU, Sept 5: District Legal Services Authority Jammu collaborated with the Global Peace Organization to host a program on the International Day of Charity and Teacher’s Day at Bal Niketan Ved Mandir Enclave, Amphalla here today.
As per a statement, the program was conducted under the guidance of Sanjay Parihar, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Jammu and supervised by Smriti Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Jammu.
Justice Tashi Rabstan, the Executive Chairman of J&K Legal Services Authority, graced the occasion as the chief guest while as Sanjay Parihar, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Jammu, and Amit Kumar Gupta, Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority, were the guests of honour.
In his address, Justice Tashi Rabstan praised the Ved Mandir Committee, the teaching and non-teaching staff for their selfless service in providing quality education and care to 141 orphan children from various parts of the Union Territory.
He encouraged others to engage in social service and commend the institution as a symbol of social and charitable activities.
Justice Rabstan urged the students to respect their teachers and focus on studies, sports, and co-curricular activities for their holistic development.
He also praised DLSA and Global Peace Organization for their charitable initiatives and assured full support from J&K Legal Services Authority.
Sanjay Parihar, Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Jammu, assessed the institution’s requirements after taking a tour.
Teachers of the institution, Seema Magotra (headmistress), Simmi Mahajan, Anjali Gupta, Anchal, Manisha Channa, Pallavi Gupta, and Akansha, were felicitated and students who excelled academically were given certificates of appreciation.
Additionally, 141 kits of stationary items were distributed among the students.
Sheikh Altaf Hussain, advocate and chairman, Global Peace Foundation, delivered a welcome address and emphasized the significance of the day.
Shafiq Choudhary, Traffic Mobile Magistrate, also attended the event, conducted by Advocate Altaf Hussain Janjua, Secretary Global Peace Organization.
Smriti Sharma, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Jammu, extended the vote of thanks to conclude the program.
