DLSA Kathua holds Mentoring & Monitoring Committee meet

KATHUA, Jan 31: Under the aegis of NALSA and as per the Action Plan issued by the J&K Legal Services Authority, the Mentoring & Monitoring Committee of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kathua met in the Conference Hall of District Court Complex.
The Committee has been set up to monitor the court based Legal Services rendered and the progress of the cases in Legal Aided Matters and to guide and advise the Panel Lawyers.
The meeting of the Mentoring & Monitoring Committee was held under the guidance of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Kathua, Jaffer Hussain Beg (Principal District & Sessions Judge) and under the chairmanship of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Kathua. Secretary DLSA Kathua (member MMC) besides all the Panel Lawyers of DLSA Kathua attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed in detail the progress report of the Legal Aid Cases allotted to the Panel Lawyers along with other issues.
The Panel Lawyers were sensitized by the Committee to serve the poor, needy and marginalized sections of the society selflessly; ensure punctuality in attending the Legal Aid Cases pending in the Courts of District Kathua; to report the proceedings of the Legal Aid Cases at the Front office and to seek necessary guidance, if required, from the Committee.
