SRINAGAR, Oct 29: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Kulgam organized a Legal Aid Camp in collaboration with District Administration Kulgam.
There were almost 16 stalls installed by concerned departments wherein the schemes were displayed and people were made aware about all the schemes in vogue.
Chairman of District Legal Services Authority Kulgam Tahir Khurshid Raina in his keynote address explained the concept of legal awareness and rationale behind organizing such camps. Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam Showket Ahmad highlighted the role of legal services authorities in redressing the grievances of people.
During the camp, sanction cards (Old Age Pension) and one wheel chair was distributed by District Social Welfare Officer Kulgam while District Agricultural Officer sanctioned one tractor, two mushroom units and two fertilizers units.
Similarly, benefits were extended by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Kulgam, Chief Horticulture Officer Kulgam, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Kulgam, Deputy Director Sericulture Kulgam, Assistant Director Fisheries Kulgam and Assistant Labour Commissioner Kulgam on spot to almost 100 beneficiaries.
The programme was attended by Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam Tahir Khurshid Raina, Additional District Development Commissioner Kulgam Showket Ahmad, Presiding Officer Fast Track Court Kulgam Som Lal, Chief Judicial Magistrate Kulgam Manzoor Ahmad Zarger, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kulgam Mehreen Mushtaq Malik, Additional Mobile Magistrate Kulgam Vishal Bharti, Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee D H Pora Altaf Hussain Mir, PLVs and staff of DLSA Kulgam.
