KATHUA, Apr 25: A day long sensitization programme on Compensation scheme for women victims, of sexual assault and other crimes (NALSA Scheme) organised by District Legal Services Authority, (DLSA) Kathua was held here today.
The programme was organised under the supervision of Ashok Kumar Shavan, Chairman, DLSA, Kathua for the police functionaries of District Kathua and Legal Aid Counsel of DLSA Kathua.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar Shavan, who was also the chief guest of the programme sensitized the participants with essential knowledge and skill to navigate the crucial areas of law effectively.
Punit Kumari, Deputy Cheif Legal aid Defense counsel, Kathua and Shubam Mahajan, Inspector Incharge crime cell Kathua and Shivam Sachdev, Advocate distict court complex Kathua were the resource persons of the programme.
The programme was attended by Upasana Gupta, and the police officials of District Kathua, advocates of District Bar Association Kathua and the staff of DLSA Kathua.
Sourav Mahajan, Advocate Bar Association Kathua conveyed vote of thanks during the programme.
