POONCH, Feb 13: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Poonch today organised an Awareness Programme on “Fundamental Duties” at Govt HS Bandichehian, in Poonch district.
Chairman DLSA Poonch, Madan Lal, Secretary DLSA Poonch Javed Rana Hakla, retainer lawyers and PLVs of the area besides students and staff also participated in the programme.
During the programme the students and others were awared regarding the fundamental duties laid down for the citizens by the Constitution of India.
The large gathering involving local people and students were also sensitized regarding environmental issues particularly about the harmful effects of use of plastics and polythene bags. The students and villagers were also convinced to plant as much fruit bearing trees as possible in their respective lands and localities in the current plantation season. The students were further sensitized about the protection of water resources and judicious use of natural resources.
