RAJOURI, Apr 18: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Rajouri, under the aegis of NALSA and J&K Legal Services Authority, held its 2nd Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) meeting to review cases of eligible under-trial prisoners (UTPs) for possible release.
The meeting was chaired by Rajinder Sapru, Chairman DLSA Rajouri and Shama Sharma, Secretary DLSA Rajouri. The committee reviewed five shortlisted cases, recommended four for legal action and directed Legal Aid Defense Counsels to file necessary applications.
Officials present included Abhishek Sharma (Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, virtually), Gourav Sikarwar (SSP Rajouri), Chander Parkash (ADC Rajouri), Shaheen Khan (Public Prosecutor) and Sanjeev Kumar (Superintendent District Jail Dhangri). The meeting aimed to ensure timely legal aid and justice for eligible prisoners.
