DODA, Feb 16: Taking cognizance of reports of death of a woman due to alleged negligence by a medical practitioner in Gundana area, District Magistrate Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan has ordered an inquiry into the matter by Additional Deputy Commissioner.
It was reported in the media that Shahista Begum, wife of Mohammad Abass of Doru, Anantnag A/P Hajipura Gundana died due to alleged negligence of a local medical practitioner, while some others termed the death as natural.
The order issued by DC reads that Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti, Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda shall hold a detailed inquiry into the factors leading to the death of the woman and submit his report within a week’s time. Chief Medical Officer, Doda, Tehsildar, Gundana, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, HQR, Doda shall provide all required assistance to the Inquiry Officer.
