DM suspends arms licence of VLW

KISHTWAR, Nov 17: District Magistrate (DM) Angrez Singh Rana has suspended the arms licence of a Village Level Worker (VLW).
As per official spokesman, taking serious cognizance of complaints against VLW namely Zahid Rashid Mughal, son of Abdul Rashid Mughal of Chinar Gali, Gudhali Mohalla, District Kishtwar wherein serious type of allegations stands filed that the VLW who is posted in Block Inderwal is coercing the voters of Inderwal Constituency for casting their votes in favour of particular candidate(s) and is threatening them with his licenced pistol thus misusing his licensed weapon.
While taking cognizance, DM Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana suspended the arms licence of the VLW with immediate effect.
“For the peaceful, free and fair conduct of ensuing Panchayat elections and also to avoid further misusage of a licensed weapon by a VLW, the licence of the erring VLW stands suspended as a precautionary measure till further order”, District Magistrate, Kishtwar said, adding that he will not tolerate such mischievous activities and impressed upon all the Government employees to behave within their domain and strictly abide the provisions of Model Code of Conduct in letter and spirit.
SHO Kishtwar has been directed to implement the order by seizing all the arms of the official, purchased against the licence along with his arms licence.
