DNWC takes stock of poor families’ problems

JAMMU, Apr 8: Durga Nagar Welfare Committee, president Roshan Lal Raina convened a meeting of its office bearers by maintaining the distance in which the steps taken by the Government led by Narendra Modi to fight the dreaded COVID -19 was appreciated and it appealed the people to follow the advisory made by Government as well as Health and Medical Education Department from time to time.
The meeting while highlighting the problems being faced by the people due to lockdown especially those living below poverty line appealed the well to do families to come forward in their help along the Government. It said the Government alone can’t tackle the crisis and it is the bounden duty of every patriotic Indian to come forward and support the Government initiative to overcome the crisis posed by deadly virus.
The meeting on the occasion distributed food items among the needy people. On the occasion corporator, Ward 64, Kuldeep Singh Chib also donated food items to be distributed among poor.
The meeting urged the J&K Bank Chairman to place attachment of Vinod Mahaldhar Manager in Durga Nagar Branch on health grounds.
