BHADERWAH, Nov 14: A doctor posted at Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah was assaulted by father-son duo here this afternoon.
As per police sources, a doctor posted at SDH Bhaderwah namely Dr Mudasir Arif was on his way to his office, when a chemist shop owner namely Manan and his father Irshad Ahmed, residents of Bhaderwah had an altercation with him.
Later, the trio entered into verbal dual and in the fit of rage, Irshad and Manan attacked the doctor with a blunt object (rod), resulting into head injury to him.
The profusely bleeding doctor was rushed to SDH Bhaderwah and was later referred to District Hospital Doda, where he was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
Acting swiftly, a police team from Bhaderwah police station arrested Irshad Ahmed, while his son escaped from the spot.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation into the case started.
