RAMBAN, Dec 20: A doctor was arrested for assaulting and injuring the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital at the Hospital itself on Tuesday.
Police said, Medical Officer, Dr. Mohammad Sayeed was arrested on a written complaint of Medical Superintendent, District Hospital, Ramban Dr. Mehboob Iqbal.
Sources said Dr. Mohammad Sayeed, a B-Grade Physician who was recently posted at District Hospital had some arguments with Medical Superintendent over duty rooster and a separate room for OPD and other arrangements.
Meanwhile both start shouting and misbehaving with each other.
Some patients who were present in the hospital premises said the Medical Superintendent used un-parliamentary language with the doctor who assaulted the Medical Superintendent and injured him seriously.
The Medical Superintendent was admitted at District Hospital.
After receiving information Deputy Commissioner, CMO and other senior officers from the administration visited the hospital.
Deputy Superintendent Police Headquarter, Pardeep Singh Sen said on a written complaint of Medical Superintendent, District Hospital a case in FIR No. 422/2022 Under Section 353/332/166 IPC was registered at Police Station Ramban and the doctor who assaulted the Medical Superintendent and injured him was arrested.
