REASI, Oct 4: Demanding action against the culprits, who had allegedly manhandled a doctor on duty, the Para-Medical staff and doctors in District Hospital (DH) Reasi today suspended their work this morning.
The protesting doctors and staff staged a sit-in and raised slogans in support of their demand. They were demanding immediate arrest of culprits and registration of case under law against them.

The protesting medical staff said that with such lawlessness prevailing in the hospital, the doctors and para medical staff were not safe in DH Reasi.  “Manhandling of medical staff and misbehaving with them have  become a route affair  and the administration should take strict action against the culprits, otherwise we will continue to remain soft target and punching bag of the attendants, they said and also demanded deployment of CRPF  in the hospital premises.
Later, administrative officials visited the hospital and assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits. On the assurance, the doctors and other staff resumed the duties.
