Docu-drama ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava’ staged

JAMMU, Aug 14: A function was held for Army persons and their families at BD Bari Military Station by Viraj Kala Kendra wherein docu-drama ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava’ was staged.
Tributes were paid to freedom fighters and Kargil warriors who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Through docu-drama references were taken from the lives of freedom fighter Khudi Ram Bose; first Deputy Prime Minister of India, Vallabhbhai Patel; Nightingale of India Sarojini Naidu; Ex-Prime Ministers-Lal Bahadur Shastri, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Indira Gandhi; Paramvir Chakra recipient, Captain Vikram Batra and martyrs of 17 Garhwal Regiment.
The artists who performed in the drama were Santosh Sangra, Lalita Tapasvi, Renu Sharma, Neeraj Sethi, Sunil Sharma, Pawan Verma, Tarun Charak, Rishab Manhas, Sudesh Kumar, Suhani Rathore and Sharib Khan.
Make up was of Dr. Kamal Sharma.
The drama was written and directed by Rajneesh Kumar Gupta.
On the occasion Brig. Anil Mahadev Kakade felicitated Rajneesh Gupta and team.
He also felicitated President of Viraj Kala Kendra, Raj Bharti for the social work she has done during her entire life and encouraged the talented youth of the city.
