JAMMU, June 28: A deputation of Erstwhile Doda Migrants Committee led by its General Secretary, Som Nath here today met K. Skandan, Advisor to the Governor and demanded facilities as are being given to other migrants.
The deputation submitted a memorandum demanding that DM’s report and verification of CID should be taken into consideration to give migrant status to Doda migrants.
Deputation members appealed to the Advisor to direct Relief Commissioner (M) Jammu for placing all the 110 families of Doda Migrants in Screening Committee for granting them migrant status and other facilities.
A handout stated that the Advisor patiently listened to the deputation and assured all support.
Kanshi Ram, Angrez Singh, Adbul Rehman, Rouf Chand, Rakesh Singh, Bittu, Hoshiar Singh, Surjeet Singh, Mohd Sharief and others were also present in the deputation.
