JAMMU, Dec 22: Dogra College of Education Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana Jammu organized ‘Display Your Talent’ function in the College Auditorium with pomp and show, here today.
The proceedings of the programme began with lighting of traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Attractive and colorful programme was presented by the students of the College belonging to the States of J&K, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The displayed items of Talent comprised of Solo Performance, Dogri Song, Punjabi Dance, Sufi song ,Contemporary Dance, Skit, Bollywood Dance, Chinese Song, Poem recitation, Ghazal, Dogri Lok Geet, Modelling, and Hindi Songs.
Over 40 students participated in the function to make this occasion a memorable one.
Th Gulchain Singh Charak, former Minister and chairman of Dogra Educational Trust was the chief guest, while Kr Samar Dev Singh Charak, secretary Dogra Educational Trust was the guest of honour on the occasion.
In his address, the chief guest applauded the talent exhibited by the students belonging to the different States of India and stated that such programmes enable the students to express their hidden talent in the best desirable way.
The Director-cum-Principal of the College, Prof B D Damral stressed upon the need of such programmes which help the students in identifying and nurturing their Talent.
Shefali Sharma, Vice Principal of the College also spoke on the occasion.
Arti, Shalini, Reetu and Diksha were the comparers of the programme. Bela Charak, Academic co-ordinator Dogra College of Education was also present on the occasion.
Ankush Kumar and Rohi were declared as Mr. Talented and Ms Talented respectively by the panel of judges including Bela Charak, Rajni Manhas and Rashim Chib.
