BARI BRAHMANA, Apr 25: An interactive session on career counseling was organised by the Placement Cell and Alumni Committee of Dogra College of Education under the banner of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college, here today.
Students of B Ed Sem- 4th (2022-24) and Sem-1st (2023-25) participated in the interactive session. The guest speaker for the day was Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director, Rich Harvest School, Member, Trustee, DET and Alumni, Dogra College of Education.
The students were enlightened on how to be successful in achieving their long term vision of a secure career which is at par to their aspirations. The guest speaker advised students to take up higher study courses which would provide life changing career prospects and opportunities. The students were oriented towards becoming the Best Teacher.
The guest speaker focused on the comprehensive understanding of the diverse career paths that are shaping the future workforce. He emphasized on developing the skills necessary for success in today’s ever changing job market and helping young people to nurture the skills for success in the 21st century.
During the interactive session, the students had a lot of queries, such as how to make a resume, how to make a balance between personal and professional lives etc, which were well addressed by the guest speaker.
Dr Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, Dogra Educational Trust, in his concluding remarks, said that such kind of lectures provide a very useful platform to exchange information, ideas, and experiences in an effective manner.
Earlier, the session commenced with the welcome address by Shivali Mehta, Convener, Alumni Committee, DCE, followed by lighting of traditional lamp by the dignitaries.
Dr Gitika Seghal, Coordinator, Dogra Educational Trust, Dr Vikesh Kumar Sharma, Principal, Dogra College of Education, Dr Shefali Sharma, Coordinator, IQAC, Dogra College of Education and MR, Dogra Educational Trust, Indu Puri, Convener, Placement Cell, all faculty members and students of both the semesters were present on the occasion.
A formal vote of thanks was presented by Shivangi Dhrora, Member, IQAC and Placement Cell, Dogra College of Education. The programme was anchored by Arushi Sharma, President, Student Council, DCE.
