Dogra Front merges with NCP

JAMMU, July 25: Dogra Front led by Raj Singh Jamwal, a well known educationist, along with his large number of followers merged with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by Sharad Pawar at national level and Thakur Randhir Singh, the head of J&K unit.
Raj Singh Jamwal said he was very much impressed with the performance of Thakur Randhir Singh as Minister for Transport, Tourism, Ladakh Affairs, Information, Excise, Geology and many other portfolios under G M Bakshi, G M Sadiq and Syed Mir Qasim. He resigned when Sheikh Mohammad Abdulah took over under Indira-Sheikh accord in 1975.
Besides Raj Singh, others who joined NCP included Ram Paul, Bagh Ali, Shams Din, Surat Singh, Ram Prasad, Bodh Raj, Chaman Singh, Rakesh Sharma, Surinder Singh, Maqbool Hussain, Chandi Ram, Mohd Sharief, Amir Chouhan, Khuda Baksh, Bahadur Singh, Raj Kumar, Shankar Singh and Abdul Hamid Moulvi.
