JAMMU, Apr 6: Dogra Front and Shiv Sena took out a procession from Press Club here to City Chowk demanding separate statehood to Jammu.
The procession was led by Ashok Gupta president of the two organizations.
Addressing the rally he justified the separate statehood to Jammu saying that the region suffered immense discrimination through the hands of Kashmir centric leaders who ruled the State since 1947.
He said the Kashmir centric leaders never wanted the liberation of PoJK as most of these areas were never part of Kashmir valley and they did not consider the Sheikh Abdullahs their leader even in 1947.
He said anti GoI voices and anti action voices have always come from Kashmir valley and this issue would be also considered as Kashmir centric issue and why the people of Jammu and Ladakh regions will suffer unnecessarily.
He said by granting separate statehood to Jammu the region will usher in an era of peace and development as till date all attention was paid towards the Kashmir valley and maximum development took place there while Jammu has been ignored always. Moreover, even the Central Governments also paid total attention to Kashmir forgetting that the Jammu is also an important part of the State.
