JAMMU, June 22: Dogri Bhasha Academy, Jammu organised a book release function at Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu in which four books entitled ‘Sucha Hirakh’ ‘Chabutare Da Sach’ ‘Jeende Jamdoot’ and ‘Neem Hakeem Khatra-E-Jaan’ , written by P L Parihar were released.
The book release function was presided over by Prof Lalit Magotra, eminent Dogri writer and president Dogri Sanstha, Jammu while Darshan Darshi, eminent Dogri writer and ex-Director School Education Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
Dr Om Goswami, eminent Dogri writer and ex Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages was the special guest on the occasion. Roshan Bral, President Dogri Bhasha Academy and Rajinder Ranjha, General Secretary, Dogri Bhasha Academy also shared the dais.
Prof Lalit Magotra appreciated the efforts of team Dogri Bhasha Academy for organising such a beautiful and great event. He extended his full support and guidance to the team of Dogri Bhasha Academy for working for the upliftment of Dogri language. He also congratulated P L Parihar for writing on Dogri language.
Three research papers were presented by Hina Mahajan, Mamta Sharma and Ajay Singh, which were highly appreciated by the audience.
Chief guest Darshan Darshi appreciated the program and said that the review program of these books may be organized in near future. He congratulated. P L Parihar for serving mother Dogri with his writings.
Special Guest Dr Om Goswami appreciated the efforts of Dogri Bhasha Academy and congratulated to P L Parihar for releasing four books in Dogri language in a single program on different genres. He also threw light on the writings of Parihar.
Author of the books, P L Parihar also addressed to the audience and recited his poetry.
The program was conducted by Rajinder Kumar Ranjha, former member Dogri Advisory Board, Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and general secretary Dogri Bhasha Academy, Jammu while vote of thanks was presented by Kewal Kumar Kewal, eminent Dogri poet and Secretary Dogri Bhasha Academy, Jammu.
A large number of Dogri and other language writers, intellectual, media persons and audience attended the book release function.
