JAMMU, May 24: Dogri short story book ‘Nyane Bade Syane’ for children written by Shambu Ram Pyasa was released here today by Nami Dogri Sanstha. The book contains 14 short stories and characters of the stories keep them connected with mother earth but the thought and perception is modern, scientific and logical.
Padamshree Mohan Singh presided over the function and Kavinder Gupta, former Dy.CM was chief guest. Shalinder Singh, SSP Railways and Sahitya Academy Awardee was guest of honour while Saryansh Kumar Jain Yogacharya was special invitee and Brij Mohan, famous lyricist and music composer was special guest. Prof. Anupama Sharma, renowned singer of Duggar and Patron of NDS and writer Shambu Ram Pyasa also shared the dais.
Mitu Kumari Minia, Ph.D scholar of Jammu University Dogri Department read a detailed paper on the book.
Capt. Lalit Sharma (Retd), Convener NDS described the book as thought provoking, educative and motivational for the children.
Padam Shree Mohan Singh welcomed the book as proud addition in Dogri literature.
Shalinder Singh carried out detailed review of the book.
Jang S Varman, a renowned journalist who has sketched the photographs of the stories was honoured by the dignitaries.
On this occasion all the participants unanimously passed resolution for separate Duggar channel to propagate Duggar culture and to provide a digital platform to the writers and artists to reach to the common man.
Dr. Chanchal Sharma, famous Dogri writer and singer extended vote of thanks.
