JAMMU, Aug 25: Dogri Sanstha Jammu today released two books by prominent Dogri writer Jagdeep Dubey: Rukhi Kanak Ni Khayan, a stage play, and Das Radio Natak, a collection of radio plays.
As per a statement, the book launching event took place at the Dogri Sanstha auditorium in Karan Nagar, Jammu, and was presided over by Prof Lalit Magotra.
Dr Arminder Singh ‘Amn’, former Additional Secretary of JKAACL, was the chief guest, and veteran Dogri poet Prakash Premi was the guest of honour.
Jagdeep Dubey, a prolific Dogri writer, has now published ten books, covering a range of genres including poetry, short stories, and plays.
Dr Amn praised Dubey’s unique writing style, particularly his mastery in crafting plays and short fiction.
He noted that Dubey’s work stands out for its originality, devoid of influence from senior writers, and for its rich Dogri vocabulary.
Prakash Premi, who has closely followed Dubey’s literary journey, highlighted his evolution as a writer and his significant contributions to Dogri literature since 2017.
The event featured critical papers by Shiv Mohan and Ashutosh Parashar, who offered deep insights into Das Radio Natak and Rukhi Kanak Ni Khayan, respectively. Their analyses provided a comprehensive understanding of Dubey’s latest works.
The program was conducted by Sushil Begana, Literary Secretary of Dogri Sanstha, known for his distinct style.
Prof Shashi Pathania, Vice-President of Dogri Sanstha Jammu, delivered the vote of thanks, while the event was coordinated by Pawan Verma.
