JAMMU, Aug 14: In a function organized at Kunwar Viyogi Auditorium in Karan Nagar here today Dogri Sanstha released Krishna Prem’s Dogri collection of short stories entitled ‘Kasturi’.
Prof. R.D Sharma, ex-Vice Chancellor of Jammu University was chief guest while Prof. Lalit Magotra, president Dogri Sanstha presided over the function whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh ‘Amn’, ex-Additional Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was guest of honour.
Prof. Veena Gupta, vice president Dogri Sanstha presented a detailed paper on the book.
Prof. R.D Sharma while speaking on the occasion said that Krishna Prem is a well known name in short story writing in Dogri language and Kasturi has proved it. Prof. Lalit Magotra was of the opinion that stories of Kasturi are unique while Dr. Arvinder Singh ‘Amn’ said that this book is a welcome addition to already rich Dogri literature.
Krishna Prem gave a detailed account of her journey as a short story writer and the process involved in writing ‘KASTURI’.
The programme was conducted by Pawan Verma. Rajeshwar Singh ‘Raju’, general secretary Dogri Sanstha Jammu while presenting vote of thanks welcomed Kasturi saying that it has enriched rich treasure of Dogri short stories.
A large number of litterateurs, literature lovers and family members of Krishna Prem were present in the book release function.
