JAMMU, Feb 3: Gandhi Chitrakatha- a book for children, originally written by Sarla Mazumdar in Gujarati language and translated in Dogri Language by eminent Sahitya Akademi & State Awardee, veteran Dogri writer Inderjeet Kesar, was released in a function organized by Gandhi Chitrakatha Parivar at Hutheesingh Visual Arts Centre, Ahmedabad.
The function was attended by a galaxy of writers from Gujarat, Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Jammu and Mumbai etc. On this occasion, a painting exhibition was also held at Kanoria Visual Arts Centre.
The efforts of Inderjeet Kesar were appreciated by one and all for translating Gandhi Chitrakatha in Dogri language for the very first time. The book will especially enable the school going children to learn about the human values of Mahatma Gandhi.
During his interaction with the august gathering, Inderjeet Kesar expressed his gratitude to Tarak Ojha, Bhusahan Ojha and Pranav Desai, members of Gandhi Chitrakatha Parivar for involving him in translation work of an ambitious project and inviting and honoring him in the function.
