JAMMU, June 20: Two persons including a domestic helper allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves.
As per police sources, 15-year-old Kuldeep, son of Raghunath, a resident of Ramban, working as a domestic helper in the house of retired SP at Pardhal, tehsil Katra, was found hanging at his employer’s house.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Sub-District Hospital Katra, where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case under Section 174 CrPC has been registered at Katra police station in this regard and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
Meanwhile, 29-year-old Dhanveer Singh, son of Diljeet Singh, a resident of Puran Nagar, New Plot allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a BSNL tower installed in his house.
On noticing him hanging, family members informed the police and the body was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where after conducting postmortem, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Rehari police has initiated inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC to ascertain the reason behind such extreme step.
