Domicile Certificate to end sufferings of Refugees, others: Balbir

JAMMU, July 2: With the issuing of Domicile Certificates to West Pakistan refugees, families of Valmiki Samaj and Gurkhas in Jammu, finally the sufferings of these sections have ended and an era of hope and prosperity has begun for them.
This was stated by BJP Spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan in a handout.
Rattan said that members of these classes were perhaps the most unfortunate people who were deprived of their basic rights as citizens and were leading a miserable live amidst.
The BJP leader held successive Kashmir centric political dispensations responsible for depriving these people of citizenship rights.
He said that West Pakistan refugees were not considered J&K residents since 1947 when they left Pakistan during partition and settled in Jammu, Samba, Kathua and other areas.
Rattan said that these deprived people had no right over jobs and admissions in professional institutes of J&K.
He said that Narendra Modi government, while working on the principle of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikaas’ has granted citizenship to these sections of the society thereby paving the way for their good days ahead.
