Donations continue to pour in for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Apr 16: Former Minister and BJP State vice president Sham Lal Sharma today handed over cheques worth Rs 9,16,840 to district president Jagdish Raj Bhagat at party office Akhnoor. These cheques in favour of PM CARES Fund were presented to Sham Lal Sharma by several BJP leaders and activists.
Shree Narsing Dass Ji Maharaj of Shree Ram Hanuman Mandir, Purani Mandi Chowk, Jammu has donated Rs 3 lakh towards J&K Relief Fund.
The Institution of Engineers, Jammu local centre contributed an amount of Rs 1.25 lakh to PM CARES Fund. The amount was contributed by various members of Jammu centre of the Institution.
Sewa Samiti (Vridh Asharm), Akhnoor donated Rs 1,02,000 to support the Government in its fight against COVID-19 pandemic. While Rs 51000 were donated in favour of PM CARES Fund, the same amount was contributed towards J&K Relief Fund.
Farooq Ahmad, a Government contractor from Chanderkote handed over a cheque amounting to Rs 51,000 for spending the same on the needy/poor persons of Ramban district to SSP Ramban, Haseeb ur Rehman.
Jasvir Singh, NSS Volunteer of University of Jammu and Lovendra Singh Shekhawat, NSS Volunteer of University of Rajyasthan, jointly donated an amount Rs 50,000 to J&K Relief Fund.
Santosh Koul (a retired teacher), resident of 147, Lower Shanti Nagar, Toph, Jammu donated an amount of Rs 50,000 towards PM CARES Fund.
Residents of Panchayat Sarwal, Ward number 8 and 9 (Indri Sajwal) have collectively donated a sum of Rs 37,700 to PM CARES Fund.
Similarly, Bushan Lal Bhat (Ex-MLC), has Jammu contributed Rs 11000 to help the Government in combating COVID-19.
Residents of Sharda Colony (Sector-1), Patoli Brahmana, Jammu have also donated Rs 11000 towards PM CARES Fund.
