JAMMU, Aug 5: ABVP has strongly condemned the Government decision of including Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper for the test of Naib Tehsildar’s post.
Addressing a press conference, Lokinder Singh, ABVP Jammu University Scholars’ convener, strongly criticized the JKSSB decision to include Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper in recent syllabus published under JKSSB notification.
Singh said that inclusion of Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper will impact the final selection list of Naib Tehsildars as many of the job aspirants does not have Urdu knowledge.
He said that inclusion of Urdu as a compulsory subject comes as a shock as well as surprise for many aspirants as for the first time, Urdu as a compulsory descriptive paper was inducted in this exam.
He added that looking at the Urdu portion of syllabus, it seems to be a complete discrimination as during the notification of exam only basic knowledge of Urdu was required but the content of Urdu portion is beyond that.
Meanwhile, ABVP Jammu University demanded to revoke this decision so that uniformity can be maintained in exam pattern.
Others present in the press conference were Sunil Kumar, Rizwan, Varun Salathia, Sachin Sharma, Sarbjeet Singh and Sushil Kumar.
