JAMMU, Apr 19: Senior Congress leader, Masood Chowdhary has urged upon the J&K Lieutenant Governor for not opening the Mughal Road for transportation of general public.
In a handout Chowdhary said that the Mughal Road connecting Rajouri and Poonch districts with Kashmir region is mostly used by the people in summers.
“In the wake of threat of spreading Coronavirus, the road if thrown open for transportation will increase chances of infection transmission,” he said.
Chowdhary demanded free rations for the nomadic Gujjar and Bakarwal communities before their migration so that this community may not face any hardship.
He urged upon the Government to bring back the poor labourers of district Rajouri stuck in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh due to lockdown.
