JAMMU, July 30: In a hard hitting rejoinder to PDP chief, Mehbooba Mufti’s challenge to BJP to unfurl Tricolour in area occupied by China, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta said that she has no locus standi to teach nationalism to BJP leadership.
The BJP senior leader was addressing the party workers here at Gandhi Nagar constituency.
Kavinder said that the narrative which PDP leader along with NC, Congress and their ilk have set in Kashmir by swaying the people away from the Tricolour has now been changed by the BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi as was seen in the recent Tiranga rally wherein people of Kashmir irrespective if their religion or political lineage participated with great enthusiasm and aplomb.
The senior BJP leader said that the aforesaid parties misled the people for over 70 years leading to turmoil in Valley but the progressive policies adopted by the Modi Government have changed the scenario and these entities have become irrelevant everywhere. He said that there are no takers of PDP, NC or Congress party’s ploys and that is the reason behind restlessness shown by the leaders of these parties. He said that every household, shop and business establishment in Kashmir would join the Har Ghar Tiranga movement giving a befitting response to Mehbooba’s treacherous attempts to create chaos.
Kavinder, however, asked the party cadre in Gandhi Nagar to get ready for the upcoming polls and mobilize the grass roots workers to ensure thumping victory of the party in the ensuing Assembly polls. He also asked the workers to ensure that every household, shop and business establishment hoists Tricolour in the Union Territory making the campaign a great success.
