JAMMU, Dec 2: Minister for Co-operatives, Chering Dorjay today convened a meeting to review the latest stock position in respect of food grains, petroleum products, LPG, and other essential commodities at Leh.
Deputy Commissioner Leh, Prasanna Ramaswamy and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
The Minister directed the concerned agencies to ensure that roads remain open during the winter season so that people do not face any inconvenience for want of any essential commodity or services.
The Minister took a detailed review of the developmental works underway in the district and asked the Deputy Commissioner to ensure that funds announced under Prime Minister’s Package be used judiciously so that tangible results are achieved on ground.
