JAMMU, Aug 8: The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), J&K Licensed Service Area (LSA) and BSNL, in association with Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu organized a blood donation camp today at HUDCO Bhawan, Railhead Complex, Trikuta Nagar, here.
Around 35 donors from DoT, BSNL, J&K Bank, Department of Transport, Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone, etc participated in the camp. Senior officers of DoT and BSNL, including Sanjeev Tyagi (CGM J&K Circle, BSNL), VK Surendra (Additional DGT, J&K LSA, DoT), etc were also present during the blood donation camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Sanjeev Tyagi advocated for continuing such activities in future also so as to supplement the efforts of the Health department in delivering patient and medicare services. He also appealed various stakeholders to come forward in the current crucial circumstances and extend their helping hand for the betterment of the society at large.
Complimenting the participants who donated their blood, Tyagi said that blood donation not only saves lives of others but also keeps oneself healthy as it gets regenerated within a short duration of time.
