Over dozen passengers injured as mini-bus turns turtle

DODA, June 24: Over dozen passengers received injuries, when the mini-bus they were traveling in, turned turtle near village Chani in tehsil Bhaderwah.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-6371 was on its way to Bhaderwah town from village Chinta, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle near village Chani, causing injuries to 14 passengers. The accident took place due to negligence of the driver.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were shifted to dispensary at Chinta, from where they were later referred to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Bhaderwah. Two injured persons were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Faqir Mohammad of Jai, Kodu, son of Sher Ali of Jai, Jeto, son of Shoket Ali of Jai, Pala Devi, wife of Kalyan Singh of Chinta, Kalyan Singh, son of Hari Krishan, both residents of Chinta, Chema Begum, wife of Bashir Ahmed of Ghati Morh, Shilpa Sharma, daughter of Kuldeep Sharma of Chinta, Rajinder Kumar, son of Gambhir Chand, Manoj Singh, son of Bodh Raj, Kuldeep Sharma, son of Lakshmi Chand, all residents of Chinchora, Shakuntla Devi, wife of Dewan Chand and Zakir Hussain, son of Bari, both residents of Chinta, Rukam Kesh, son of Hari Krishan and Thandi, wife of Rabarn, both residents of Chinta.
Police has registered a case in this regard and investigation started.
