JAMMU, Oct 16: The Kashmir Displaced People Wing of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) led by its president Sanjay Dhar, chairman has appealed the Central Government and LG led UT administration to prepare and finalize the permanent rehabilitation policy of Kashmiri displaced people in consultation with the stake holders having faced displacement after 1990.
In a joint statement issued here, today Sanjay Dhar , president of the organisation, its chairman, Piaray Lal Pandita and general secretary , Raj Kumar Tickoo said due to genocide most of the displaced Pandits languishing in refugee camps at Jammu are craving for their permanent rehabilitation in accordance to their geo-political aspirations which the Government should fulfil.
Theysaid that such a long exiled period of 33 years is beyond their tolerances and Government must feel what a miserable life is lived by a human creature after uprooting from his birth place due to failure of Government to ensure his security as this has and will affect future generations and a community having over 5000 year old history will lose its identity.
They have appealed the Government to merge the PM package employees with U.T.Government employees who are already rendering their services to the Valley people which will become a first step towards the resettlement policy,as was the objective of introducing the special PM Package during 2008.
Theyalso appealed that old age pension,marriage expenses, social welfare schemes,soft loan schemes and other Centrally sponsored schemes,be implemented for displaced community at par with the other people of U.T. to remove the disparity with our exiled community.
