DPAP for permanent rehabilitation of displaced people in Valley

JAMMU, Jan 7: The Kashmiri Displaced People’s Wing (KDPW) of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) has demanded earliest working out of permanent rehabilitation policy for displaced people in Kashmir Valley.
In a joint statement issued here, today Sanjay Dhar, president, Piaray Lal Pandita, Chairman, Raj Kumar Ticku, general secretary, of DPAP Displaced People’s Wing urged the Government that remaining jobs under employment package for displaced people from Valley be also sanctioned.
They said that Parliamentary Standing Committee had recommended 15,000 jobs for displaced youth while Government had only sanctioned 6000 jobs later. They demanded that the remaining jobs be also sanctioned immediately.
They also demanded balance ex-gratia of gutted houses against assessment of loss valued by competent authorities including compensation of damaged properties, orchards, agriculture land with compensation to traders of displaced people. Providing of transit accommodation to 6000 PM Package employees with restoration of accommodation occupied by Forces, Panches, BDC’S and other non package employees and a special rent to those employees who are not provided transit accommodation.
They further demanded creation of two Police Battalions specially for Kashmiri Hindus and for the community youth still living in Valley, with relaxation of all prescribed norms, grant of compensation to Traders, overaged educated youth, stipend to unemployed youth, issuance of formal appointment orders of selected 120 candidates class fourth , verifications conducted since the file reportedly pending for last one and a half year and handing over of Jagti Water Supply Scheme to Jal Shakti Department
They also demanded sanction of Permanent Police Chowki in Migrant Camp Jagti for ensuring proper safety of the camp inmates, exemption of Bio Meteric attendances for Package employees in Valley till restoration of normalcy in view of security scenario, improvement of civic issues in all camps, including renovation, repairs, maintenance of lanes, drains and parks.
