JAMMU, Dec 19: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) leaders have asked its workers in RS Pura to reach out to the people and ensure massive participation in the upcoming public rally of party chairman and former J&K Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Dec 23.
The party general secretary RS Chib while addressing his workers in RS Pura today said that former CM and chairman DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad is scheduled to address a rally on coming Saturday.
“We are expecting a massive participation of people in the rally which is organized by Ch Gharu Ram Zonal president,” he said.
Chib asked his workers to reach out to the people at grassroots and ensure their maximum participation in the rally. He said hundreds of party workers are already on job and preparing for this mega political activity.
Hoping that people from all walks of life are joining the rally, Chib said that the people of the area remember the golden era of development during the tenure of Azad as Chief Minister in the erstwhile State.
Party vice chairman GM Saroori said, DPAP led by Azad is committed to fight and secure the jobs and land rights of the people of J&K. He said once they form the government, they will ensure the laws are strengthen to ensure the resources especially lands and jobs are secured for local people only.
“We have no other option other then to fight for the security of government jobs and lands which are our primary resources to run our economy. After Article 370 abrogation and the Supreme Court ruling to uphold the August 5,2019 decision, the laws are very fragile and weak to protect our resources and assets,” he said.
He promised that under the leadership of Azad, the party will take it as a primary and serious issue in the interests of people. “Azad is very concerned for the people of Jammu and Kashmir and their rights. That is why he is popular and acceptable in both the regions.”
On the occasion, the party also opened the block office at Suchetgarh. The office was inaugurated by GM Saroori.
Provincial president Jugal Kishore Sharma, chief spokesperson Salman Nizami, Zonal president Ch Gharu Ram, Sobat Ali, Vishal Chopra, Balbir Singh and others were also present.
