JAMMU, Apr 23: In order to review the preparation of upcoming poll of Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha segment a meeting of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) was held here today.
The meeting was held under the leadership of former Legislator, VP Jammu Province and Member Working Committee, Ashok Sharma and Former Minister, President Jammu Zone, Ch. Gharu Ram.
Speaking on the occasion Sharma said that the election committees constituted for campaign in the poll held in Udhampur Lok Sabha Segment, did appreciable efforts in reaching out to the people in every corner of the Lok Sabha segment, curtailing the gap between the DPAP Lok Sabha candidate and the people strengthening the hands of Ghulam Nabi Azad. Likewise, the election campaign teams for the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha Segment will be announced soon, he added.
Former Minister, Ch. Gharu Ram stressed upon the formulation teams for election campaign in four Districts namely Rajouri, Poonch, Anantnag and Kulgam of Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha segment at Booth, Panchayat, Block and Assembly constituency level and urged upon the office bearers present in the meeting to reach out every corner of the area in the Lok Sabha segment.
He further requested the members of the campaign committees of the Udhampur Lok Sabha segment to locomote along with their teams to the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha segment as per the direction of the DPAP.
Among others who were present during the meeting included District President Jammu Urban, Gourav Chopra, President District Jammu Rural, Ashok Bhagat, GS Jammu Province, Kulwant Chib, Zonal VP Kamalpreet Singh and GL Chanda, Office Secy Central Zone Jammu and Prakash Chand Dingra.
