JAMMU, July 28: All Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) in a meeting chaired by Dev Raj Thakur, Federation President and Rattan Sharma, General Secretary expressed displeasure over the functioning of School Education Department (SED) in J&K.
Speaking in the meeting Federation members expressed concern over SED not conducting Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of teachers to master grade for more than six years.
They said, many posts of non-teaching staff are vacant since long in various districts but still the DPC has not been held by the concerned authority.
The Federation flayed the pick and choose transfer policy in SED.
AJKLTF members said that sealing of powers of DSEJ and CEOs in the matters of DPC and transfers was not proper and demanded an early retention of these powers.
The Federation hailed conduct of online classes through TV, Radio, Webinars, community classes etc for the students.
Demand for master grade posts in middle schools, creation of 6 master grade non-plan posts in all high schools and regularization of all cadres of teaching/non-teaching fraternity was also demanded.
Dev Raj Thakur, Rattan Sharma, Darshan Bharti, Shiv Dev Singh and others were also present in the meeting.
